Der Amerikaner sagt „Country Boy", in Deutschland würden wir es wohl eher als Land-Ei übersetzen. Doch Travis Rush als Land-Ei zu bezeichnen wäre nicht wirklich die richtige Bezeichnung für ihn. Doch wenn man ihn zuhört, wenn er sich darüber aus lässt wie er aufgewachsen ist, wo er seine Wurzeln sieht, dann ist er ein wirklicher Country Boy. Und wird der ganze Hintergrund betrachtet, dann bezieht sich das Country auch mehr auf die Musik. Selber sagt er über sich, dass er nicht dazu geboren ist zu Hause zu sitzen und die Decke anzuschauen. Für ihn bedeutet Leben Erfahrung sammeln und genießen. Und das spiegelt sich auch auf seinem Album „Come And Get It" wieder. Es ist jetzt kein Album welches tiefgründigen Geschichten erzählt, vielmehr möchte er einen kleinen Anstoß zum Leben liefern. An seine Songs glaubt er, denn für ihn steht es außer Frage, dass wenn er nicht an einen Song glaubt das er ihn auch nicht veröffentlichen würde. Der schönste Song auf dem Album ist der Titel: „Then I'll Cry". Es ist ein Duett mit Leath Yorkston. Produziert wurde das Album übrigens von Jenn Burleton.

The American calls them „Country Boy ", in Germany we would more call them a " Land-Ei" . But to call Travis Rush a „Land-Ei" woudn’t really be the right thing. Then when you listen to him, when he sings about where he grew up and where his roots lay, then he really is a Country Boy. And when you look at the Background, then the Country is more about the Music. He says about himself that he was not born to sit around the house and stare at the ceiling. For him life means to enjoy and collect experiences. And that reflects on his Album „Come And Get It". It is no Album with profound Stories, it wants to more give little initiation for Life. He believes in his Songs, that is without a doubt, otherwise he woudn’t publish them. The most beautifull Song on the Album is the Titel: „Then I'll Cry". It is a Duett with Leath Yorkston. The Album was produced from Jenn Burleton.
