Dolly Parton hatte ihre ersten Erfolge 1960. Nicht als Sängerin, sondern als Songwriterin für Bill Phillips. Danach trat sie als Duettpartnerin von Porter Wagoner in Erscheinung und machte einen bis dahin noch nie gesehen Took-Off. 1971 war dann die Zeit, wo sie sich ihre Lorbeeren als Solokünstlerin verdient. Bis dahin hatte Dolly Parton sich nur der Country Music verschrieben. 1977 kam dann der Ausflug in die Pop-Charts mit dem Song „Here You Come Again". Doch an der Country Music kommt sie bis heute nicht vorbei. Sei es in ihrer Musik oder verschiedenen Film und Radioprojekten. Vor längerer Zeit wurde bei RCA / BMG das Projekt Artist Collection ins Leben gerufen. Und was lag näher als eine der besten Künstler mit in die Collection aufzunehmen. Die musikalische Geschichte beginnt im Jahr 1970 mit „Joshua". Es folgen Hits aus dem Jahr 1971 „Coat Of Many Colors", 1972 „To Daddy" bis 1983 mit „Elusive Butterfly".

Dolly Parton had her first succeses in 1960. Not as a Singer but as a Songwriterin for Bill Phillips. After that she was the duett partner fom Porter Wagoner and made it to never before seen „Take-Off". In 1971 was the time where she had her big success as a Soloartist. In that time Dolly Parton did only Country Music. In 1977 came the excursion to the Pop-Charts with the Song „Here You Come Again". But still today, she can’t do without Country Music. Is it in her Music or in different Movie and Radio-projects. A while ago RCA / BMG started the project "Artist Collection". Nothing was more resonable then to get one of the biggest artists to perform for this collection. The musical story starts in the year 1970 with „Joshua" and is followed by Hits from the year 1971 „Coat Of Many Colors", 1972 „To Daddy" up to 1983 with „Elusive Butterfly".
