Bei Lyric Street Records legt die Geschäftsleitung Wert darauf das die Künstler auch verstehen über was sie singen. Daher verwundert es jetzt nicht, dass Trent Tomlinson auch als Songwriter in Erscheinung tritt. Bei allen elf Songs hat er mitgewirkt. Trent Tomlinson ist eine Mischung aus Country, Honky Tonk und Rock. Und so geht es auch mit „Country Is My Rock" auch so richtig los. Bei dem Titel „Cheatin‘ On My Honky-Tonk" fühlt man sich in die Tanz-Bar von nebenan versetzt und bei „Hey Batter Batter" zuckt dann wieder der Rhythmus. Das er auch ganz gefühlvoll ins Mikro singen kann, zeigt sich bei den Songs „Angles Like Her" oder „The Bottle". Durchaus gewollt sind die Geschichten, die Trent Tomlinson in seinen Songs erzählt. Von Traurig bis Erfreut reichen die Themen.

With Lyric Street Records the Management make sure, that the Artists understand what they are singing about. So it ain’t much of a surprise that Trent Tomlinson is also a songwriter. He took part in all 11 songs. Trent Tomlinson is a mixture of Country, Honky Tonk and Rock. So it right away with „Country Is My Rock" it gets really started. With the song „Cheatin‘ On My Honky-Tonk" you feel like sitting nextdoor in a Dance-Bar and with „Hey Batter Batter" the Rhythem gets you going again. His passioned side come out in the songs „Angles Like Her" or „The Bottle". Storys are what Trent Tomlinson tells in his songs. His themes go from sad to happy.
