Trace Adkins, ein mehrfach mit Platin ausgezeichneter Künstler und Opry Mitglied, ist ein Musiker ersten Ranges und er hat eine große Fangemeinde in allen Teilen der USA. Die Musik ist für Adkins Leidenschaft und Lebensinhalt. Mit seiner sehr tiefen Baritonstimme schlug Adkins 1996 in der Countrymusikszene ein wie eine Bombe. Sein Debutalbum verkaufte sich mehr als eine millionen mal. Seit dem verkaufte er millionen weitere und hatte eine Erfolgsserie mit Titel wie "Every Light In The House Is On," "(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing," "Chrome," "I’m Tryin’," "Hot Mama," und "Rough & Ready," um nur einige zu nennen. Trace Adkins wurde zu einem vom Nashvilles konstantesten Hitlieferanten.

Mit Honky Tonk Badonkadonk möchte er jetzt an seine Erfolge anknüpfen. Doch scheint es fraglich ob ihm der Erfolg wieder vergönnt sein sollte. Der Song Honky Tonk Badonkadonk ist schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Sind Country Elemente zwar vorhanden, doch wird probiert mit Honky Tonk Badonkadonk auch die Pop Charts zu stürmen. Gleich vier Versionen finden sich auf dem Album wieder. Ob jetzt alle unter die Rubrik gut fallen, lassen wir einmal offen. Ach ja eine „neue" Version vom Song Chrome findet sich auch auf dem Album. Ansonsten nicht viel neues.

Musik is Adkins passion and his purpose in Life. With his very deep Baritone Adkins fell like a Bomb in 1996. His Debut Album sold more then 1million times. Since then he has sold millions more. He has a story of succes with Songs like "Every Light In The House Is On," "(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing," "Chrome," "I’m Tryin’," "Hot Mama," and "Rough & Ready" – to only mention a few. Trace Adkins has maintained one of Nashvilles most consistent standard Hit-maker.

With Honky Tonk Badonkadonk now he want’s to pick up where he left off. But it seems to be questionable if he will be as sucesfull again. The Song Song Honky Tonk Badonkadonk well, you need to get used to it. There are still Country Elements in it, but with Honky Tonk Badonkadonk there is also the attempt to get into the Pop Charts. There are 4 different versions on the Album. If you can call them all good, I will leave that open. Oh, and there is a –new- Version of the Song "Chrome" also on the Record. Other then that, nothing really new.
