Vor acht Jahren haben sie in Alberta, Canada angefangen. Sechs Jahre lange haben sie in verschiedenen Clubs in Nordamerika gespielt und 2001 unterzeichneten sie einen Vertrag bei DreamWorks. Jetzt ist ihr neues Album auf dem Markt. „Whaf If?" ist noch besser und ausdruckstärker als ihr Vorgängeralbum. Befragt auf, welcher Song sie am meißten auf ihrem Album anspricht, kommt die Antwort von Dale Wallace wie aus der Pistole geschossen: „I’ll Die Tryin! Es ist einer der wenigen Songs, die mich jedes Mal auf’s Neue berühren. Ich bekomme jedes Mal eine Gänsehaut, wenn ich die ersten Zeilen höre." Das besondere an der CD ist, daß die sechs Jungs jede Note ihres Albums selbst singen und spielen. Die Musik, die Emerson Drive auf dem Album mit seinen 14 Songs präsentieren ist ein Mix zwischen Pop, Country und Rock. Hier kommt ganz klar die Handschrift von Richard Marx zum Vorschein, der das Album produziert hat. Es sollte ihnen damit nicht schwer fallen auch bei MTV gespielt zu werden. Übrigens rotiert bereits seit Wochen im US Radio und den TV-Stationen die Single-Auskopplung „Last One Standing" und der Song hat auch schon den Sprung in die Billboard Single Hot 100 geschafft.

Asked which Song on the Album they like the best, answers Dale Wallace like gunfire: „I’ll Die Tryin!- It is one of the few Songs that touch every time again. I get Goosebumps every time when I listen to the first lines". The special thing about the CD is that the 6 boys play and sing every single note on the Album themselves. The Music that Emerson Drive presents on their CD with 14 Songs is a mixture between Pop, Country and Rock. The Album has the handwriting from Richard Marx, who produced the Album. So it shouldn’t be hard for them to be even played from MTV. By the way the Single "Last One Standing" has been played up and down in the US Radio and TV-Stations, and the Song has made it into the Billboard Single Hot 100.
