2006 wurde er von der CMA zum Künstler des Jahres gewählt. Doch 2006 ist nicht immer gut gelaufen für Keith Urban. Es wurde bekannt, dass er Drogen nimmt und dem Alkohol verfallen ist. Ob er den Kampf gegen die Sucht gewinnt steht auf einem anderen Blatt geschrieben. Sein aktuelles Album ist ein Blick auf sein Leben. „God Made Woman" und „I Can't Stop Loving You" kann locker auf seine Frau bezogen werden. Mit „Stupid Boy" könnte er sich auch selber meinen und der Rest der Songs ist Geschichte. Im typischen Keith Urban Sound präsentiert er die einzelnen Stück. Mehr Pop als Country, aber nichts anderes ist ja von ihm zu erwarten.

In 2006 he was voted as Artist of the year by the CMA. But 2006 was not only good for Keith Urban. It came out in the press that he does Drugs and Alcohol. If he will manage to win this battle has to be seen. His current Album shows a view on his life „God Made Woman" and „I Can't Stop Loving You" can be directed easily to his wife. With „Stupid Boy" he could mean himself and the rest of the Songs are history. In his typical Keith Urban Sound he presents every single piece. More Pop then Country, but that is to be espected from him.
