Im Zeitalter der Plünderei und Habgier, der Zeit der Goldgräber und Kopfgeldjäger, zieht eine Gruppe von Außenseitern in eine kleine, scheinbar gesetzeslose Stadt, in der alles - und vor allem jeder - seinen Preis hat. Willkommen in Deadwood... kein Platz, um sein Glück zu versuchen. Mit Deadwood lief eine Western-Drama-Serie über die Gründung einer amerikanischen Grenzstadt im Jahr 1876, produziert von David Milch (Sopranos, NYPD Blue). Die Serie wurde für 11 Emmy's nominiert, konnte zwei davon gewinnen. Die zweite Staffel wird in den USA im Mai starten. Hierzulande konnte sich Premiere die Erstausstrahlungsrechte sichern. Beginn der ersten Staffel wird im April sein. Der Soundtrack enthält namhafte Künstler wie Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, Lyle Lovett oder June Carter Cash und kann auch außerhalb der HBO-Serie als qualitativ hochwertiger, auf Lost Highway erschienener Songwriter - Sampler bestehen. Die CD enthält zudem noch einige Dialoge aus der ersten Staffel. Soweit der Teil, der vom Record Label zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Doch das ist noch nicht alles. Das Booklet beinhaltet Fotos von den Stars der Serie und eine Zusammenstellung der Songs. Aus der hervorgeht aus welcher Episode der Serie die Songs sind.

Welcome to Deadwood. It’s not a place to try one’s luck. Deadwood was run with a Western-Drama-Series about the foundation of an American border town in 1876 and was produced by David Milch (Sopranos, NYPD Blue). The series was awarded two of the 11 Emmy’s it was nominated for. The second season will begin in the USA in May. In this country, premiers were able to gain the original broadcasting rights. The beginning of the first season will be in April. The soundtrack contains well-known artists such as Sonny Terry, Brownie McGhee, Lyle Lovett or June Carter Cash and can also be considered outside of the HBO Series as a qualitative high-class Lost Highway of released Songwriter – Samplers. The CD, however, still contains a few dialogues from the first season. To the extent of the part that is made available from the record label. But that is not everything.
