Das kleine Platten-Label von Chely Wright ist jetzt eine Co-Operation mit Dualtone eingegangen. 1994 veröffentlichte sie das Debütalbum „Woman In The Moon", welches als ganz ok befunden wurde von den Kritikern. 1996 landete sie dann mit dem Album „Right In The Middle Of It" nicht gerade einen Hit.

Nicht gerade vom Erfolg verfolgt mit den beiden Alben ging sie zu MCA. Dort arbeitet sie dann mit Produzent Tony Brown zusammen. Die Zusammenarbeit brachte 1997 dann das Album „Let Me In" hervor. Mit „Let Me In" stellte sich der Erfolg ein. Das Album kam ohne Umwege in die Top 40 der Country-Charts und die Single-Auskopplung „Shut Up And Drive" landete unter den Top 20. 1999 hatte Chely Wright es dann erreicht. Mit „Single White Female" hatte sie ihren ersten Top-Ten Nr. 1 Hit, welcher aus dem gleichnamigen Album ausgekoppelt wurde.

Das jetzt vorliegende Album hat eine lange Reise hinter sich. Auf Grund der Umstellungen in der Plattenindustrie in Nashville wurden viele Künstler ausgegliedert. Betroffen war davon auch Chely Wright. Sie produzierte das Album auf eigene Kosten und ging auf eine Tingle-Tangle Tour bei den verschiedenen Record Labels. Zum Schluss einigte sie sich mit Dualtone. Mit Auskopplung „Bumper Of My S.U.V." hat sie sich auf einen Schlag in die Schlagzeilen gebracht. Hatte doch der Fan-Club Präsident von ihr mit seinem 17köpfingen Team bei Radio-Sendern angerufen und sich als angehörige von Soldaten ausgegeben. Grund der Aktion der Song sollte mehr gespielt werden. Nach bekannt werden der PR-Aktion, die nicht mit Chely Wright abgesprochen war, durfte der Präsident und sein Team den Hut nehmen. Zu den Songs ist zu sagen, sie fallen unter Country bis New-Country und sind ganz gut.

The minor record label of Chely Wright has joined a co-production with Dualtone, now. In 1994 she released the debut album „Woman In The Moon" which the critics found reasonable. She didn’t even land a hit in 1996 with the album "Right In The Middle Of It".

Not even pursued by success with these two albums she went to MCA. There she worked together with the producer Tony Brown. The collaboration in 1997 then brought forth the album „Let Me In". With "Let Me In" the success arrived. The album made it into the top 40 of the country charts without any detour. And the single outtake "Shut Up and Drive" landed in the top 20. In 1999 then achieved it. With "Single White Female" she had her first top ten No. 1 hit, which was taken out of album of the same name.

The album, now available, has come a long way. Based on the reconstruction of the record industry in Nashville a lot of artists were outsourced. And that applied to Chely Wright as well. She produced the album on her own costs and went on a tingle-tangle tour at different record labels. In the end she came to an agreement with Dualtone With the outtake "Bumper of My S.U.V. she got herself right away into the headlines. Her fan-club president with his team of 17 people had called radio stations to pretend to be family members of soldiers. The reason was that the song should be played more often. After the PR-action, which was not agree on with Chely Wright, got known, the president and his team had to trow the towel. To talk of the song, they fall under the category Country up to New-Country and they are pretty good.
