Jamey Johnson ist ein Vertreter der traditionellen Country Music. Hank Willimas oder auch Eddy Arnold wären stolz auf ihn. Hat er sie doch als Vorbilder und so verwundert es nicht, dass er im Stil dieser beiden Größen seine Songs singt. Doch da auch ein Jamey Johnson mit einem Alan Jackson aufgewachsen ist, verwundert es nicht, das auch hier Einflüsse sich in seinen Songs wieder spiegeln. Seine Tochter ist übrigens an seinem ersten # 1 Hit schuld. Denn sie verleitete ihn den Song „The Dollar" zu schreiben. Es ist zu hoffen das aus dem Album noch so manche Single veröffentlicht wird, denn auch wenn die meisten Songs sehr ruhig sind gewähren sie einen Einblick in die Seele von Jamey Johnson.

Jamey Johnson is a respresentative of traditional Country Music. Hank Williams or also Eddy Arnold would be proud of him. Concidering they are his big Idols, it is not a surprise that his music is in the style of those two big musicians. But Jamey Johnson also grew up with Alan Jackson, so there are also influences of him in his songs. By the way, his daughter is to blame for his first # 1 Hit. She tempted him to write the song „The Dollar". It is to be hoped for, that a couple more singles from the album will still be published. Most songs are smoothly and they give a insight to the soul of Jamey Johnson.
