Ch.L.: Would you please introduce yourself to the readers and tell us something about your history.

Judith Lynne: I, Judith Lynne, was born and raised in Illinois. At a very early age I decided I was interested in having a singing career. Every Saturday night, while helping my dad milk cows we would listen to the Grand Old Opry. Yes, started singing to cows. When in 6^th grade I started singing in choir and continued to do so until I graduated from High School. I competed in different choir events and contest.

Thirty years ago I moved to Texas. Although I am not Texas-born, it became home.

Later on with marriage and raising children I put singing aside. Now the children are grown and I have found that I have some time on my hands. Approximately 6 years ago I started singing again. I have three children and 5 grandchildren. I have sung gospel music throughout my whole life. In December 2002, I sang for the first time on stage with a live band. In December 2006 I will have performed for four years.

Durch meine Heirat und durch die Erziehung meiner Kinder habe ich das Singen beiseite gelegt. Jetzt sind die Kinder erwachsen und ich habe wieder mehr Zeit. Vor ca. 6 Jahren habe ich wieder mit dem Singen begonnen. Ich habe 3 Kinder und 5 Enkel und habe mein Leben lang Gospel Musik gesungen. Im Dezember 2002 habe ich das erste Mal auf der Bühne mit einer Band life gesungen. Im Dezember 2006 waren das jetzt 4 Jahre.

Ch.L.: How was the last year for you? Were there any highlights?

Judith Lynne: Last year was very good for me. Yes, I had highlights this year; for example:

T.C.M.A. (Tennessee Country Music Alliance) in April 2007 at their award shows I received two awards: Tennessee County Music Alliance Most Promising Female Vocalist Judith Lynne 2007 and Tennessee Country Music Alliance Silver Elite Writer of the Year Judith Lynne 2007. Last year I received the award for Tennessee Country Music Alliance Entertainer of the Year Modern Division Judith Lynne 2006.

Ich habe bei der T.C.M.A. (Tennessee Country Music Alliance) Show im April 2007 2 Preise erhalten. As of January 2007 I recorded my second album with Canadian American which is owned by Joey Welz, my record producer. Joey Welz was a featured rockabilly pianist for Bill Haley and Comets.

Ch.L.: What did you do before you got into the music business?

Judith Lynne: I was a legal assistant and still am a legal assistant during the day. On the weekends I am usually performing at some country opry in Texas.

Ch.L.: Country Music has many new fans in Europe who may be learning about you for the first time. How would you describe the music you play to someone who has never seen or heard you before?

Ch.L.: Your current single is being played by radio. What do you think is special about this song that makes people want to hear it?

Judith Lynne: At this time I have a new Album out and all of the songs have been played off and on so I will Judith Lynne the next question. This summer my single release song was Farm Girl Memories. This song was written about my father who is 83 years old and still farming.`

Ch.L.: What is your current CD and how is it doing?

Judith Lynne: My new CD "Becoming A Woman Again" came out this year. I am a co-writer with 5 songs with the award wining ASCAP song writing team of Joey Welz and Martha Barr.

Ch.L.: How did you find the title for the CD and what inspired you?

Judith Lynne: The title of my CD "Becoming a Woman Again" fits the album if you listen to the first song in the CD with is "Becoming A Woman". Sometimes we seem to change directions in life and I did through music.

Ch.L.: What is the difference between your last and your current album?

Judith Lynne: My first album was self titled Judith Lynne and was produced by Keith Bradford at KMA Records in Nashville, Tennessee. The album has a very good country sound. My new album Becoming a Woman Again has a newer sound but still country.

Ch.L.: What's your favorite song among all the songs you've recorded, and what's the story behind it?

Judith Lynne: I like each and every song on both CD. I and producers spent a lot of time deciding which songs to record.

Ch.L.: How much creative control do you have over your music?

Wieviel kreative Kontrolle haben Sie über Ihre Musik

Judith Lynne: I am very fortunate to have lots of creative control. I won’t sing a song unless I totally understand what the song is trying to project to the listener. Then I think about the song before I sing it to get into the mood of the song.

Ich bin sehr glücklich darüber, dass ich eine große kreative Kontrolle habe. Ich werde diese Lieder nicht singen bevor ich nicht verstanden habe was dieses Lied dem Hörer sagen möchte. Ich denke über jedes Lied nach bevor ich mich von der Laune dieses Lied fangen lasse.

Judith Lynne: It will most likely be a new release of the old song Summer Time.

Ch.L.: How do you go about choosing songs for a project?

Wie wählen Sie Ihre Lieder für ein Projekt?

Judith Lynne: I have to like the lyrics, then love the music, and then see if I can related to song. I have to relate to the song.

Ich muß die Bedeutung mögen, dann die Musik lieben und dann sehen, ob ich mich mit dem Lied identifiziern kann. Ich muß mich in dem Lied irgendwie finden.

I also have to be able to project the correct singing style and mood of the song so the listener would like it. Also, a songwriter puts their heart into a song and so does the music producer and you want them to be proud they choose you to perform their song.

Ich muß den richtigen Singstil und auch die Bedeutung dieses Liedes finden so dass es der Hörer mögen muss. Ein Liedschreiber steckt auch sein Herz in ein Lied, so aber auch der Musik Produzent und du möchtest dann, dass sie alle stolz auf dich sind, wenn du ihr Lied singst.

Ch.L.: How much do your songs influence your audience?

Wieviel von Ihren Liedern beeinflußt das Publikum?

Judith Lynne : Boy the challenge is to get the audience to notice your songs and you when performing. It takes lots of practice, details, and preparations. If you get their attention, who knows how you will influence them.

Oh der Wettbewerb bedeutet, dass das Publikum auf ihr Lied aufmerksam gemacht werden muss wenn man es singt. Es bedeutet viel Übung, Details und Vorbereitung. Wenn du die Beachtung von ihnen bekommst, wer weiß wie man sie beeinflussen kann?

Ch.L.: The internet is playing a bigger and bigger part in the world of music. Has the internet hurt or helped you and how would you like to see it evolve?

Das Internet spielt immer einen größeren und größereb Teil in der Welt der Musik. Hat Sie das Internet verletzt oder hat es Ihnen geholfen und wie würden Sie sagen, hat es Sie beeinflusst?

Judith Lynne: I would like to take this moment to say internet is the best thing that every happen for me and my music career. I am and have in the past received lot of airplay on numerous radio and internet radio stations worldwide in Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Belguim, Holland, USA, and many more.

Ch.L.: Who do you look up to musically and where do your musical roots come from?

Judith Lynne: The artists that have had a big influence on me are: Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee, Connie Frances, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gayle, Tammy Wynette, LeAnn Rimes, Ella Fitsgerald, and Tina Turner.

Ch.L.: In your opinion, what is the biggest difference between "traditional" and "new" country music?

Judith Lynne: This is a question is tough one. I love the "traditional" and that is what the oprys here in Texas want us to sing. That is the Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and etc. artist’s music. My first CD was classified as traditional and my second CD was classified as the new country music.

Ch.L.: As an artist you have to do so many different things such as recording, touring, doing interviews etc. What do you like to do best, what's your favorite activity?

Judith Lynne: I like to perform. Over the past years, I have expanded my venues to retirement homes, private parties, and travel to different venues each weekend, such as Gladewater Saturday Night Opry, Gladewater Gospel Jubilee, The Wylie Opry, Little D. Jamboree (Oklahoma), Point Opry, Garland Opry, Texarkana Opry-

The Oaklawn Opry, and Mesquite Opry-Rodeo City Music Hall, and Forney Opry.

Judith Lynne: God gave me a gift of music. I love to sing and perform. My husband got me started in the music business. He is very supportive.

Ch.L.: What has been the biggest disappointment in your life?

Judith Lynne: I have learned that in this music business everyone has an opinion and that I can’t please everyone although I wish I could. I just want to give 100% and I do realise that is a hard task sometimes.

Ich habe gelernt, dass im Musikgeschäft jeder eine Meinung hat und dass ich es nicht jedem Recht machen kann, obwohl ich es mir wünschte, dass dies möglich wäre. Ich gebe 100 % und ich merke, dass dies manchmal sehr schwer ist.
